Color Scheme was my first attempt to compose oriental chill beats using sampled traditional instruments of the Far East only. In this chill EP you may hear koto, shamisen and many oriental instruments that were used in the past to create music. I also dig a bit into Asian Pentatonic Scales to make my music even more oriental and traditional. Even tough this line of chill songs are usually more meditative ones without the use of drums but I felt like this way it would be way too different from Latte Chill’s usual chill beat style… therefore I seeked Chinese folk drums and beats to maintain the oriental mood.

In case you seek more Japan inspired oriental chill beats – they are part of my discography, starting with Every Mornings’ Asia, an upbeat but oriental chill song from Y album, Lazy Japanese Cats’ Sunday Morning Daydream Under the Rainbow in the Garden (my longest titled song ever) from The Empire album, Silent Nite Club and many-many other from Dragonic Eve album.

Later I decided to add oriental chill songs to my full albums, so I reworked itsumademo (originally released on CherryWorld-OshareChaos EP) to No Past But Future in a more oriental way. Memories of the Untold chill album came in 2010 with Dreams about The Empire (referring to The Empire album) as well as Timeless Sunshine, one of the most loved oriental upbeat song among my works.

Itsumademo returned again in 2011 as part of Scars EP, this time inspired by more modern music, in fact Big Bang‘s hit songs, while an indies android game, Pandapuff also used traditional folk instruments to make the ambience more panda-like.

Latte Chill returned in 2017 with Chinese Restaurant chill EP. As the title suggests, it really contains lots of Japan and China inspired chill beats including Chinatown, Chinese Oolong Tea and Matcha Latte.

Itsumademo returned again (lol)! As part of the remake of my very first album, Mixtery – in 2017 I released ReMixtery. Year 2017 album also contained a oriental song, called South Chinese Sea, where I sampled some oriental sound samples with my own beats.

2018 started off with tons of nature chill releases and some oriental songs as 5 Mins before 11 on As the Sun Sets chill EP and Rising Sun on Earth nature chill album. Later I started my retro game line with Pokémon Soul Silver. Chill album inspired by the game was released in summer 2018, where I also composed a song called Ecruteak. The name came from Ecruteak city, which is pretty traditional to me with all the buildings and kimono ladies there. Later that year I also released Tanabata EP, a full chill EP I composed on one day, focusing on the traditional Japanese event. Songs worthy to try from that chill EP are Moon Rabbit and Odori.

Lastly in 2019 I had the chance to travel to Tokyo the first time in my life… of course an EP inspired by my travel was released right after: Tokyo19 with Sushi Passage, Sakura Garden and much more.

Retro line also continued with Leaf Green game and I added Lavender – a song both spooky and traditional in the same way.

In short, I adore traditional folk beats of the East and compose songs in this genre time to time. Color Scheme was different as from toe till head I used tradinional pentatonic scales and oriental sound samples. I hope you will like them
